You’ve changed the way you eat – lots of fresh fruit & veg, increased water intake, excellent balance of proteins, carbohydrates and no sugar!

You’re sleeping well, a full 7 to 8 hours a night, and feeling refreshed every morning.

Exercise is now a part of your weekly schedule – 3 to 4 days a week – you’ve lost weight, you’re stronger and your fitness levels are fantastic.

So why do you still feel like you’re running out of fizz?

Maybe you need to chill out.

Meditation and relaxation are proven to lower stress levels, decrease blood pressure, improve quality of sleep, balances the nervous system (remember the parasympathetic & sympathetic nervous systems? Check out last week’s blog if you need a refresher: Energy and Exercise)
Yoga Nidra is one of the oldest and most effective ways of de-stressing. A deep relaxation technique, it encourages you to become actively aware of your body, and energy. It also provides you with the perfect excuse to lie around doing as little as possible – what more encouragement do you need!

Yoga Nidra classes will be available to you all, very soon.

‘Til then, take a deep breath, book in for a massage and join one of my hatha vinyasa yoga classes for a stretch and a relax.

Some people think that meditation takes time away from physical accomplishment. Taken to extremes, of course, that’s true. Most people, however, find that meditation creates more time than it takes.
